The Ferrari F355 was produced by Ferrari from 1994 through 1999. The F355 was the replacement for the successful 348 model. The F355 Spider is powered by a fuel injected 3.5 Litre V8 producing 375 hp with a lofty redline of 8500rpm. This engine has a unique 5 valves per cylinder, three intake and two exhaust. All of this Ferrari racing technology allowed this engine to achieve the magic output of 100hp per litre. Translated this meant the F355 Spider could reach 60mph in a scant 4.6 seconds with a 12.8 second quarter mile time. Certainly super car territory especially in 1997. With Ferrari's race bred suspension and brakes, along with this cars six speed manual transmission, this Ferrari was a force to be reckoned with on the street or on the race track.
