The BMW 5 series has been the long standing benchmark of sports sedans. These sedans are true sports sedans offering razor sharp handling, tracking precisely through corners. BMW has found a way to offer this sports car like handling without any sacrifice to ride quality, which is outstanding at any speed. Four wheel anti-lock disc brakes bring things to a halt in a hurry if needed. The 540i features a  4.4 liter V-8 power plant turning out 282 H.P., which provides brisk performance (0-60 in 5.4 seconds! )  with a velvet smoothness which is a BMW trademark of their outstanding powerplants. The 5 speed automatic transmission has adaptive electronics which tailer shift programs to driving style. A sport mode is available as well. Our featured 5 Series is in great shape. Its original black paint is in excellent condition, free from any significant dings or scratches. The smoke free gray leather interior is in excellent shape as well. The burlwood trim is perfect and adds a subtle richness to interior. Mechanically this BMW has been recently serviced and completely gone through by Bimmer's Clinic in Southern California. All systems are in perfect working order including the A/C which works great! This generation of 5 series has a classic look that some feel was lost on the newer generation of cars. This 540i has stunning looks and great performance, in one of the best color combinations, with a MSRP new of close to $60,000.  Because of its proper servicing, and extreamly low mileage, (30,000 miles would be approximately 2100 miles per year!) this car will provide many years of enjoyable use. This is one of the cleanest 5 series of this generation that I have seen. The real defining characteristic of this overachieving sedan is in it's driving pleasure.
