 The 5th Generation (C5) Corvette was introduced in 1997. The C5 Vette signifigantly raised the bar for Corvette with a vastly improved car in all respects! The heart of this Vette is the 5.7 litre LS1 V8 producing 345 horsepower. This Corvette can reach 60 mph in less than 5 seconds, on up to 150MPH, making it one of the world's fastest sports cars of its era. This Corvette has great handling with its four wheel independent suspension, and huge brakes to stop quickly as needed. This generation Corvette really delivered the goods to allow this All American sports car to compete with any of the best spors cars from around the world. Another first  (at least since the 1962 model Vette) this convertable has a trunk which will hold luggage or golf clubs! The Corvette is loaded with a full compliment of standard equipment. One really nice option that this Vette has is the heads up display. This display gives a constant readout through the lower part of the front windshield, showing vehicle speed, revolutions per minute, and other instrument panel readouts, without taking your eyes off the road. 

Our featured Corvette is in excellent shape. With only 33,000 miles (approx 2500 miles per year) this Vette really is super clean!. The exterior black paint still has a new car luster (indicative of a low mileage car that was always garaged). The leather (non smoker) interior is in great shape as well. The convertable top is in as new condition with the heated back window a real plus. This Corvette is a joy to drive especially with the top down on one's favorite stretch of road. The Corvette, besides being a world class American sports car, has a wonderful dual purpose nature. It can be enjoyed running errands, commuting to work, or enjoying a brisk drive with any of the best sports cars from around the world.
