Classbenz Presents its Premium Sport Utility The 1997 Land Rover Range Rover 4.6 SE For over 50 years, the Land Rover (Range Rover) has been the most prestigious marque in the sport utility world. Land Rover introduced the concept of offering military grade off road capabilities in a vehicle with luxury car appointments. The Range Rover is arguably the world’s first luxury SUV. The Range Rover was first officially offered in the United States in 1987. It quickly gained popularity as the premium sport utility which other manufacturers strived to duplicate. Its unique ability to traverse impossible terrain while coddling its occupants in world class luxury car comfort makes the Range Rover an amazing driving experience. Our featured 1997 Range Rover benefits from a larger 4.6 liter V8 (which replaces the base models modestly powered 4.0 liter V8) This powerplant produces 222 HP and 300 pound feet of torque. This gives the Range Rover a towing capacity of 7700 pounds with performance to pass slower vehicles when carrying passengers and luggage. Keeping with the serious off road potential of this vehicle, the Range Rover offers permanent four wheel drive, three differentials, a two speed transfer gearbox, a viscous coupling unit and four wheel electronic traction control along with fully adjustable ride height. As befitting a vehicle of this stature, our featured Range Rover comes loaded with factory options. Some of the more significant are as follows:
Full Leather Seating Surfaces, Wood Trimmed Interior Panels, Steering Wheel Audio Controls, Power Windows (with one touch down control), Four Wheel Anti-Lock Power Braking System, Passenger and Driver Front and Side Air Bags Cruise Control, Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control, Power Front Seats with Memory, Keyless Entry Anti-Theft System, Power Moon Roof, Harmon/Kardon Premium Audio System, CD Changer (6 disc) Heated Front Seats, Heated Side Mirrors, Headlamp Wipers and Washers, Factory Alloy Rims (16 inch), Michelin 4X4 Radial Tires 255/65/16 (good condition)
Our featured Range Rover is in great shape. The Alpine White exterior still has a new car luster with very minor imperfections (dings or scratches). The (smoke free) tan leather interior with beautiful navy blue piping is in excellent shape as well. With 61,000 miles, (approx, 4400 miles per year) this Range Rover still runs great, shifting smoothly through the gears. These are truly unique vehicles with classic styling and stunning appointments. This Range Rover had a MSRP of over $63,000 plus approximately $30,000 in aftermarket equipment. No other SUV can combine British Luxury with the Range Rover go anywhere capabilities. Top this off with the uniqueness and special options of this vehicle, and you have a very special Range Rover ready for your enjoyment
At our dealership, we strive to accurately describe our vehicles through text descriptions and elaborate photos. When you purchase a pre-owned vehicle it is not a new vehicle.
