The Sedan de Ville was introduced by Cadillac in 1949. The Sedan de Ville was Cadillac's premier sedan. It was one of the most expensive models in the line up. The car was stunning and very much sought after by Cadillac's affluent clientèle. The fifth generation Sedan De Ville was completely redesigned for the 1965 model year. The 1965 restyle represents one of the most extensive changes in the divisions history. The car was well recieved and set a sales record for Cadillac, that still stands to this day. Sharp distinct body lines replaced the rounded look of the prior years model. The new vertical lamp clusters and the wide grill, along with the beautifully sculpted tail light design, really set this Cadillac off as a premium luxury sedan. The engine was a whopping 429 cubic inch V8, which allowed this Caddy to own the road! 

Our featured De Ville is in great shape. The exterior was recently treated to an excellent paint job in the original factory color. The paint, chrome and glass are in in very good condition. The (smoke free) interior is in excellent shape as well. It is all original and looks like the car just rolled out of the showroom. Mechanically the De Ville has been gone through and all operating systems are in good working order. There is no rust anywhere on this De Ville. These Caddy's were loaded with factory options.  It is difficult to find a Sedan De Ville of this era in such excellent condition. It is even more difficult to find one that (with the exception of the sound system) is completely original. These cars a a joy to drive and will surely be on the short list of collectible Cadillacs.  This Caddy needs nothing to be enjoyed as is.
